The July 30th, 2016 Frank Maier Marathon, Douglas Island Half Marathon is an out and back moderately hilly, scenic, USATF certified course with views along the course of mountains, ocean, glaciers and forest, in Juneau, Alaska. If you're amongst the many who seek out the most scenic half marathons, this is one to add to your bucket list. The race also has post race food featuring local salmon! Not many races you will find that at! The race also offers an early start time for walkers and back of the pack participants who need a little extra time to finish!
